PLAYWRENCH / SCHEDULE 1 MIXER

Schedule 1 Mixing Mania

Current for v0.4.5

Mixing Mania is an early tutorial quest from Uncle Nelson: mix a strain worth at least $60. At the rank most players get this quest, the answer is OG Kush plus Cuke, then Banana: two passes through the same Mixing Station, $4 of ingredients, and the result sells for $66. An exhaustive engine sweep of every product and ingredient available at Street Rat ranks found no single-ingredient mix that reaches $60; two steps is the true minimum. If you have already unlocked Mouth Wash (rank Hoodlum III), OG Kush plus Mouth Wash clears it in one pass at $64. Two things trip this quest that have nothing to do with the mix: it may only register at the property the quest started in (players who moved up had to go back), and renaming the mixed product can break it. If it still refuses to complete, the most-confirmed fix is to save, sleep, and reload with the mixer in place; details below.

What does the Mixing Mania quest ask for?

Mixing Mania is one of the first quests you get, handed out by Uncle Nelson. It asks you to buy a Mixing Station from Dan's Hardware and use it to mix a strain worth at least $60. You only need to mix the strain; you do not need to sell it (player-confirmed). The bar sounds low, but most cheap one-step mixes miss it: a full sweep of all 16 one-step OG Kush mixes through this site's engine found only three that reach $60, and two of those unlock late. The reliable answers are below.

What is the easiest mix worth $60?

The canonical answer is OG Kush plus Mouth Wash. OG Kush starts with the Calming effect; adding Mouth Wash produces a strain that sells for $64, comfortably over the $60 requirement, and Mouth Wash costs only $4. That sell price was checked through this site's calculator engine.

  1. Pick OG Kush as the base product.
  2. Add Mouth Wash as the single ingredient.
  3. The result sells for $64, which completes the quest.

This is also the mix players report actually using for the quest. If the quest does not register on a one-pass mix, several stuck players got it to trip by running the product through the station once more with a second ingredient; adding Banana keeps you well clear at $71.

Mouth Wash is not in my shop yet. What clears $60 instead?

Mouth Wash unlocks at rank Hoodlum III, so a very early character may not be able to buy it. Do not burn money experimenting: an engine sweep of all 16 one-step OG Kush mixes found only two other single ingredients that reach $60, and both unlock even later (Mega Bean at $64, Iodine at exactly $60). Cheap early ingredients all miss: Paracetamol gives $55, Flu Medicine $58, Banana $50.

The early-rank answer is a two-step mix: OG Kush plus Cuke, then Banana. Both ingredients are available from rank Street Rat I, the total ingredient cost is $4, and the result sells for $66, verified through this site's calculator engine.

Where do I have to mix it? The property matters.

Several players report the quest step only registers at the property the quest was anchored to, commonly the starter Motel Room or the Sweatshop above the Fat Dragon Chinese restaurant. One player: "It triggers completion based off location." Players who had already upgraded to a bigger property had to go back, place the Mixing Station at the earlier property, and do the mix there. Reports disagree on which specific building, so the practical rule is: mix at the property you were using when the quest appeared, and if it will not register where you are now, go back to your earlier property and mix there.

Do not rename the mixed product

Player reports warn that renaming the product from this quest step can stop the quest from registering, and one thread reports a hard crash tied to the rename. Leave the mixed strain's default name until Mixing Mania completes; rename it afterwards if you want.

Mixing Mania is stuck and will not complete. What do I do?

A known bug can leave the quest incomplete even when you have mixed a valid strain worth over $60. It is a completion-tracking issue, not a problem with your mix. Fixes below are ordered by how many independent players confirm them:

Because this is a bug rather than a mixing mistake, no particular recipe avoids it; the point is that your mix is already valid, so you only need the quest to catch up.
